Job Description Role Expectations - Dashboard & Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. - Data Modeling: Create and optimize robust data models, including effective star/snowflake schemas. - DAX & KPIs: Develop complex DAX calculations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive actionable business insights. - Data Integration: Integrate data seamlessly from various sources, including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs. - Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. - Data Validation & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance of all reports and dashboards. - Security Implementation: Implement row-level security and user-based data access strategies to ensure data confidentiality and compliance. - Governance & Best Practices: Provide expert guidance on Power BI governance, best practices, and the development of self-service analytics models. - Performance Monitoring: Maintain data refresh schedules and continuously monitor report performance to ensure efficiency and responsiveness. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and various business users, to deliver integrated solutions. Qualifications - Extensive hands-on Power BI development experience. - Advanced DAX and data modeling expertise. - Experience with Power Query/M Language. - Strong dashboard and visualization design skills. - In-depth knowledge of Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server. - Proficiency in configuring row-level security and gateway configurations. - Familiarity with Power BI REST API and embedding techniques. - Proficient in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions. - Strong capabilities in data extraction, transformation, and integration using SQL. - Experience with large datasets and performance tuning of Power BI solutions.
