ROLE PROFILE: LSEG D&A is transforming the way in which it implements and maintains data governance controls. That transformation, led by the Data Governance team as part of the Data Trust Programme, relies on managing an extensive book or work to capture and assess the effectiveness of controls that work to mitigate a series of data risks and support the transparency and agility of D&A to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products. As a result, we are now seeking a Lead Reporting Analyst: Power BI Development Lead who will support the ongoing enhancements to processes and reporting output on the current suite of Data Governance reporting applications. The DG Lead Reporting Analyst will be guided by the Data Governance Platform Director to capture requirements that meet the business and end users needs and build and maintain capabilities that provide key deliverables. ROLE SUMMARY: The main responsibilities and deliverables of this role include the following:
- Lead and manage the backlog of requirements and enhancements to reporting features for DG team activities.
- Analysis of data governance metadata in existing business and technical systems.
- Define and develop reporting dashboards to provide insight and elaborate on the analysis of DG controls & metadata with specific stakeholder perspectives as emphasis.
- Answer queries on applications and reporting capabilities, system/application capabilities from team members (product managers, product owners, business analysts, developers, business, and users) and others.
- Work alongside the Product Managers, BAs and development team members so they can understand user requirements and defining use-cases.
- Presentation of analysis, designs and requirements to team members and others.
- Coordinate the action of reporting analysts in the completion of reporting development and maintenance tasks. WHAT YOU&aposLL BE DOING: The main responsibilities and deliverables of this role include the following:
- Coordinate the work of reporting analysts and manage the backlog of requirements and enhancements for DG reporting requirements.
- Analysis of DG and execution metadata in existing business and technical systems.
- Develop reporting solutions directly in the Power BI platform to meet the requirements.
- Answer queries on applications and reporting capabilities, system/application capabilities from team members (product managers, product owners, business analysts, developers, business, and users) and others.
- Work alongside the Product Managers, BAs and development team members so they can understand user requirements and defining use-cases.
- Presentation of analysis, designs and requirements to team members and others. WHAT YOU&aposLL BRING: The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in data analysis. Technical experience and knowledge will include:
- Experience of developing Dashboards and reports within MS Power BI & App suite
- Understanding of the principles and industry approaches to data governance.
- Ability to work with complex information models and data structures.
- Knowledge and experience in software development life cycles.
- Experience with Lean and Agile processes; familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
- Techniques and experience defining the specification and development of system capabilities in on-line service provider industries, finance, or telecommunications.
- An up-to-date knowledge of market, industry and regulatory trends in your product area, and an interest in maintaining that knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make decisions based on impact.
