Job Locations: Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Gadchiroli, Jalgaon, NashikNeeded qualified and experience person who can handle breakdown and preventive maintenance of Biomedical equipments like ICU, OT, OPD, Dental, X-ray, UltrasoundJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Biomedical Engineer to manage the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical biomedical equipment in clinical environments such as ICU, Operation Theatre (OT), OPD, Dental, Radiology (X-ray, Ultrasound), and other hospital departments. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of a wide range of biomedical devices, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to ensure uptime of essential life-saving machines. This role requires close coordination with clinical users, equipment vendors, and hospital administration to ensure high standards of patient care through reliable medical technology.Key Responsibilities:1. Equipment Maintenance & Breakdown Handling Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment as per OEM guidelines. Handle breakdown calls promptly and ensure minimum downtime of critical devices. Troubleshoot faults in electronic, electromechanical, and hydraulic systems in: ICU equipment: Ventilators, Patient Monitors, Syringe/Infusion Pumps, Defibrillators OT equipment: Anesthesia Machines, OT Lights, Cautery Machines, Suction Apparatus OPD & Diagnostic: ECG, Spirometers, Audiometers, etc. Dental equipment: Dental Chairs, Compressors, Scalers, Intraoral Cameras Radiology equipment: Digital/Analog X-ray, Portable X-ray, Ultrasound machines Coordinate with OEM/service providers for major repairs or warranty services when required. 2. Preventive Maintenance & Calibration Maintain and follow the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) for all biomedical equipment. Ensure periodic calibration and performance checks in compliance with NABH, ISO, or hospital guidelines. Keep records of calibration certificates and maintenance logs for audits. 3. Installation & Commissioning Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure utility checks (power, gas, suction, etc.) and compliance with safety norms before equipment handover to departments. Support procurement team in technical evaluation of equipment specs during purchase processes. 4. Asset Management & Inventory Control Maintain up-to-date inventory of biomedical assets across departments. Tag equipment with unique ID/barcodes and update maintenance and service history. Monitor equipment usage, AMC/CMC status, warranty periods, and parts availability. Suggest recommendations for spare parts stocking and upgrades or replacements. 5. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with medical equipment safety standards and hospital protocols. Maintain documentation of breakdown reports, calibration records, service calls, vendor communication, and PM logs. Support during quality audits by NABH, JCI, or internal inspection teams. 6. Training & Support Provide technical training or demonstration to clinical users on proper equipment usage and safety. Create user manuals or SOPs if required.
