We're looking for a talented and passionate User Experience Designer be part of shaping the shopping experience for emerging customers. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to directly impact how millions of emerging customers interact with Amazon's product and services, and make their shopping journey more intuitive and delightful.

Our ideal candidate excels at creating elegant user-centered designs that simplify complex interactions across mobile and desktop platforms. You should demonstrate exceptional ability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous feature design, while maintaining a relentless focus on customer advocacy.

As a Sr. UX Designer, you'll drive innovation in how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products across diverse shopping categories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define seamless customer experiences that align with our broader product ecosystem. Your success will depend on your ability to transform complex user flows into simple, elegant solutions while considering technical feasibility and business requirements. We're seeking someone who can combine creative vision with practical execution, turning customer insights into designs that set new standards for online shopping experiences.

Key job responsibilities
- Design user-centered experiences that simplify complex shopping flows
- Create cohesive experiences across Amazon's product ecosystem
- Understand and advocate for customer needs across different shopping categories
- Develop elegant solutions that balance user needs with technical feasibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful design solutions

A day in the life
Your day will focus on creating clear, simple solutions for customers to complete these tasks. You'll collaborate with research and product teams to understand customer needs, test designs, and use data to measure success. You'll work with designers across the IES and WW teams to ensure all features connect smoothly. In this fast-paced environment, you'll split your time between planning future improvements and creating designs. This includes sketching ideas, building prototypes, and refining final designs. From start to launch, you'll use customer feedback and performance data to make shopping on Amazon better.- 8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Experience designing customer facing retail products
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
- Experience designing in an agile development environment
