Cognos BI Developer

Job Description Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models using IBM Cognos Analytics (10.x/11.x). - Create Framework Manager models, define metadata layers, and ensure data integrity and security. - Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. - Optimize report performance and ensure usability across various business units. - Develop and maintain complex queries, calculations, and data visualizations. - Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting of BI solutions. - Collaborate with data engineers and DBAs to ensure reliable data sources and efficient ETL processes. - Document technical specifications and provide user training and support as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience as a Cognos BI Developer. - Proficiency with Cognos Report Studio, Workspace, Query Studio, and Framework Manager. - Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases like DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server. - Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL concepts. - Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
