Job Description Key responsibilities - Forecasting and planning: Develop and implement strategies for demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management to maintain a balanced flow of goods. - Supplier management: Manage relationships with suppliers, research fair pricing, and negotiate contracts. - Cost reduction: Identify areas for cost reduction through process improvement, new routes, or better supplier agreements. - Performance monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performance to management. - Collaboration: Work with various departments, such as logistics, procurement, and production, to ensure smooth operations. - Process improvement: Help implement new tools and processes to streamline operations and provide recommendations for strategic decision-making. - Risk mitigation: Monitor the supply chain for potential disruptions and develop plans to mitigate them. - Data analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Skills And Qualifications - Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data and use advanced analytics tools to model and predict outcomes. - Communication skills: Clearly present findings and recommendations to management and collaborate effectively with other teams. - Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise in the supply chain process. - Technical proficiency: Experience with supply chain management software like SAP is often required. - Business acumen: Understand how supply chain operations integrate with overall business objectives.
