We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP - Risk and Control Analytics Business: GPW & WPS Principal Responsibilities - Engage in 1LOD risk management projects/BAU namely Issue Management, Control Monitoring activities, Risk and Control Assessments, to name a few. - Take on priority tasks such as Audit/Assurance Readiness, Operational Resilience project/BAU, with emphasis on adherence to quality of deliverables and timelines. - Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation. - Participate in the review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews. - Participate in activities to help ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, comply with procedures and templates, and meet quality control requirements. - Assist with the implementation of the new risk in line with RTCL runway for the business within EMEA. - Assist with the provision of emerging risks and controls knowledge and understanding the industry standards/benchmark. - Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment (core risk types, including but not limited to Financial Crimes risks, Resilience risks, Regulatory risks, to name a few). - Participate in automation projects with the objective of implementing improvements enabling process efficiency and development. - 1LOD testing of controls based on fit-for-purpose, check for excessive controls, review quality of controls, etc. in line with Technical User Guide (TUG) requirements. Qualification - Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk management roles - A good understanding of the Operational Risk Framework - Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders such as Risk Owners, Control Owners, Issue Owners, Risk Stewards, to name a few - Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions - Highly developed interpersonal communication skills and collaborative approach - Independent and able to work under minimal supervision - Ability to prioritize business risk deliverables and work independently in dynamic work conditions - Knowledge of the changing regulatory requirements for EMEA - A sound knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth business, including products & services - Detail-oriented and result-focused - Proficient in Microsoft Office Package incl.
