Job Overview: The Counter Sales Executive – AMUL Milk is responsible for overseeing counter-to-counter sales and ensuring efficient distribution of milk and dairy products during early morning operations. The role involves engaging directly with customers and retail counters, maintaining inventory, promoting AMUL products, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, hardworking, and committed to high standards of customer service and reliability. This is an early morning role, typically starting at 4:00 AM and ending by 2:00 PM. Breaks, breakfast, and other personal needs are managed accordingly during the shift. The position is ideal for individuals who are disciplined, punctual, and enjoy working in a fast-paced distribution environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Counter-to-Counter Sales: Conduct daily sales of AMUL milk and dairy products directly at various retail counters, including general stores, supermarkets, and local shops. Ensure accurate delivery of milk packets and other dairy items as per the order list provided. Maintain good relationships with retailers and counter staff to ensure repeat business and long-term collaboration. 2. Early Morning Distribution: Begin daily operations sharply at 4:00 AM. Collect packaged milk from the distribution center or cold storage and prepare delivery batches. Follow designated delivery routes and complete all scheduled counter visits before noon. Ensure freshness, hygiene, and correct handling of milk products during transportation and sales. 3. Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain daily records of stock picked up, sold, returned (if any), and remaining unsold. Report daily sales and leftover inventory to the supervisor. Ensure proper rotation of stock to minimize wastage or expired products. Keep sales counter and vehicle (if used) clean and organized. 4. Customer Interaction and Service: Communicate politely and professionally with retailers and customers at each counter. Resolve minor complaints related to delivery, packaging, or quality promptly. Inform shop owners about AMUL promotions, new products, or changes in supply schedules. Handle cash or digital transactions securely and honestly. 5. Coordination and Reporting: Coordinate with warehouse or supply staff for loading and unloading of goods. Submit daily sales reports, receipts, and feedback to the distribution supervisor or accounts team. Follow all internal procedures regarding route sheets, invoicing, and stock documentation.Working Schedule: Start Time: 4:00 AM End Time: 2:00 PM Includes short breaks for breakfast and rest as permitted within the shift. Timeliness is essential due to the perishable nature of dairy products and customer expectations for morning delivery.Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum qualification: High School Pass (10th Standard); Higher Secondary (12th) preferred. Prior experience in counter sales, milk delivery, or FMCG sales is an advantage. Ability to start work early in the morning on a regular basis. Basic reading and writing skills in the local language; knowledge of English or Hindi is an added advantage. Physical stamina to lift and carry crates of milk and dairy products. Valid driving license (if using a delivery vehicle or scooter).Key Skills: Trustworthy and honest behavior in handling cash and goods. Strong customer service skills. Punctuality and discipline. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic record-keeping and simple math for sales and stock tracking.
