Job Description Experience: Minimum 4 years in MEL, preferably in youth development or social impact programs. Qualification: Master's degree in statistics, economics, social sciences, development studies, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working with Google sheets and statistical software like R or Stata. Location: Bangalore preferred - or Hyderabad or Mumbai Role Purpose The MEL Associate will support the design, implementation, and operationalization of robust MEL systems across Mentor Together's programs. They will focus on creating impact frameworks and surveys, data collection, analysis, and program reporting while contributing to evidence-based decision-making and continual program improvement. Key Responsibilities Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Frameworks [30%] Assist in refining MEL frameworks across programs, including indicators and metrics aligned with program theory of change. Design and maintain data collection tools, processes, and dashboards to monitor program progress. Train the team on the usage and implementation of the data collection and evaluation processes Outcome & Impact Measurement [50%] Coordinate and support program teams in accurate data collection and data quality assurance. Conduct timely quantitative and qualitative data analysis to support program insights and course corrections. Create and maintain data dashboards for different stakeholders Knowledge Dissemination & Reporting [20%] Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MEL reports. Translate complex data into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders. Key Skills & Competencies Planning & Organizing - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to sequence and prioritize tasks, set timelines, and evaluate progress. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Strategic Thinking - Strong understanding of MEL methods, including surveys and baseline-endline studies. Ability to identify MEL system weaknesses and initiate solutions. Data Analysis - Data cleaning, visualization, and interpretation skills. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, R, or Stata. Effective data analysis skills for regular reporting and course corrections. Communicating Effectively - Clear and effective written and verbal communication. Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights. Stakeholder Relationships - Collaborative approach with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and address diverse stakeholder needs Ownership & Learning Attitude - Self-motivated and accountable with a learning mindset. Willingness to take feedback and go the extra mile to improve.
