Job Description – Data Engineer (Grid Dynamics) Grid Dynamics is a leading provider of technology consulting, agile co-creation, and scalable engineering solutions for enterprise clients. We specialize in cloud, big data, AI/ML, and digital transformation initiatives. We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong expertise in the Google Cloud stack Responsibilities: Data Extraction & Analysis - Work with Google BigQuery / Google SQL to query and manipulate data. - Develop scripts in Python, Go, or Perl to extract, transform, and update datasets. - Experience with MapReduce frameworks is an advantage. Data Visualization - Build reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio. - Create effective visualizations to present findings and communicate insights clearly. Problem Solving & Pipeline Development - Identify data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines. - Use data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations. Performance Optimization - Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance query performance. - Apply techniques such as Indexing, Partitioning, Parallel Processing, Caching, Efficient Storage Formats (Parquet/ORC), and In-memory Computing. Scheduling & Automation - Schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow, Dreampipe, or similar job schedulers. Release Engineering - Support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.
