Role Description

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to build and maintain the CleanIndex platform — an ESG certification and directory-based web application. The role involves developing custom WordPress pages, building dynamic dashboards for organizations, and implementing admin features for certification management, payments, and reports.

You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and sustainability experts to deliver a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Website Development

2.Build all public pages (Home, About Us, How It Works, Directory, Organization Profiles, Blog, Pricing, Legal, Contact).

3.Implement searchable & filterable directory with custom filters (industry, country, certification tier, score range).

4.Develop organization profile templates with scorecards, certificates, and contact forms.

5.User & Organization Dashboards

6.Create custom organization dashboards (certifications, membership, billing, notifications).

7.Develop multi-section ESG questionnaire forms with file uploads, progress tracking, and save/continue features.

8.Enable certificate downloads and badge sharing.

Admin Functionality:

1.Build a custom Admin Dashboard integrated with WordPress.

2.Implement submission queue management (pending, under review, approved, rejected).

3.Create a questionnaire builder tool for admins to add/edit questions, weights, branching logic.

4.Configure certificate management (badge templates, tiers, revoke/re-issue).

5.Integrate WooCommerce payments & membership reports with export options.

6.Set up branding, email templates, GDPR compliance settings in the backend.

Integrations & Technical Work:

1.Integrate QR code & verification system for certificates.

2.Configure WooCommerce for one-time purchases & memberships.

3.Optimize SEO for blog/resources hub.

4.Ensure responsive design, fast performance, and secure data handling.

Requirements:

1.Technical Skills

2.Proven experience in WordPress theme & plugin development.

3.Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3.

4.Experience with WooCommerce customization (subscriptions, memberships, payments, invoices).

5.Ability to build custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF).

6.Familiarity with form builders (Gravity Forms, WPForms, or custom-built).

7.Knowledge of API integrations (QR code, verification tools, external services).

8.Understanding of security best practices (GDPR, data encryption, access controls).

Professional Skills:

1.3+ years of WordPress development experience.

2.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

3.Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.

4.Experience with Git version control and project management tools.

Nice to Have:

1.Prior experience building certification, membership, or directory platforms.

2.Knowledge of ESG / sustainability platforms.

3.Experience with scalability & performance optimization for high-traffic portals.
