About our client For more than 80 years our client s engineers and product specialists have partnered with customers to produce highly engineered connectivity and sensing solutions that make a connected world possible Their focus on reliability durability and sustainability exemplifies their commitment to progress The unmatched range of their product portfolio enables companies large and small to turn ideas into technology that can transform how the world works and lives tomorrow Role Description Transportation solutions BU makes products for Connecting and Sensing Data Power and Signal for vehicles ranging from Two wheelers to Heavy Commercial trucks TS India operates out of 2 Manufacturing plants in Pune Sales offices in Pune Noida and Chennai and a Global engineering team in Bangalore The total team strength is of 3 500 employees There is a clear business strategy till 2025 to support the business growth The growth is driven mainly driven from localization of Core India Specific products and also New technology products Responsibilities Responsible to lead and drive a team of engineers for design development and improvement of Special Purpose machinery to the plant and execution of all new projects as per agreed APQP timelines End to end responsible for capturing the voice of Customers and all stakeholder requirements of the product and then assess review and correct machine design to meet the expectations Conducting design reviews effectively resulting reliable equipment and less rejections Train and Coach the team to build the M E capability and competency Improve the process to reduce CoPQ and improve OEE by quality up-time and productivity Identify Automation and Cost Saving opportunities and able to deliver result Requirements 14 years of experience working in medium or large matrix organizations Hands on Experience in in high speed high Precision SPM designing building and trouble shooting Experience in header assembly machines fast and high precision Automation machines for Automotive industry is preferable Mechanical and Pneumatic systems trouble shooting and design skills Experience in EOL testing like leakage Electrical tests AOI Camera Vision inspection Updated knowledge on statistical process control systems
