Job Overview A Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and establishing strong client relationships to drive revenue growth. The BDE acts as a bridge between the company and potential clients, representing the brand professionally while achieving sales targets. Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify potential clients and business opportunities through market research, networking, and referrals. Generate qualified leads using various channels such as cold calls, emails, social media, and events. Maintain a pipeline of prospects to ensure a steady flow of opportunities. Research competitors and industry trends to understand market dynamics. 2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management Initiate contact with prospective clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clients. Schedule and conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and follow up to ensure satisfaction. 3. Sales Strategy & Execution Collaborate with management to develop sales strategies and action plans. Execute strategies to achieve revenue targets, market share, and growth objectives. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with clients. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies based on outcomes. 4. Proposal & Presentation Development Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales documentation tailored to client requirements. Clearly communicate product benefits, features, and value propositions. Assist in creating marketing materials, case studies, and client success stories. Ensure all proposals and presentations are aligned with company standards and branding. 5. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with company goals. Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful delivery of products/services to clients. Provide feedback to internal teams on market needs, client preferences, and potential improvements. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions. 6. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and business development efforts. Prepare regular reports on leads, conversions, sales pipeline, and market trends. Track performance metrics and present findings to management. Document lessons learned, best practices, and client feedback for continuous improvement. 7. Market Research & Analysis Conduct market research to identify new sectors, industries, and client segments. Analyze competitor offerings, pricing, and strategies to identify opportunities and threats. Stay updated with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends. Provide insights to management for strategic planning and decision-making. Required Skills & Competencies 1. Sales & Negotiation Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills. Ability to develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets. Target-driven mindset with focus on achieving and exceeding KPIs. 2. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to build rapport, engage clients, and maintain professional relationships. Strong presentation skills for proposals, meetings, and client interactions. 3. Analytical & Research Skills Ability to analyze market trends, client needs, and competitor strategies. Proficiency in data interpretation, reporting, and decision-making. Capacity to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans. 4. Organizational & Time Management Ability to manage multiple clients, leads, and projects simultaneously. Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Maintain organized records, documentation, and follow-ups. 5. Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and business development tools. Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and sales automation is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies or platforms used for business development. Educational Qualifications Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
