Key Responsibilities

Security

- Supervision of access control & material handling at the gates by undertaking daily check of security documents, visitor management, material inward & outward movement, lock & key management at site or residential complex by adhering to security guidelines.
- Protect company assets / material from physical damage, theft, pilferage, encroachment of land/site and ensure the security of company associates at all times.
- Optimize use of security technology/ gadgets to monitor the premises and identify & capture risks such as theft, crime and other safety violations/ incidents
- Carries out patrolling of the site/area assigned, traffic management & reporting of security observations or incidents to Area Security In-charge (Lodha) with due investigations & supporting evidence during the daily round of duty.
- Undertakes surprise checks on orders as well as on own initiative, at least twice a week, in various stores, offices & labour camp area to check mis-appropriation, enforces correct accounting of stores and adherence to security procedures.
- Is able to verify daily deployment of security guards of various security agencies in the assigned area of responsibility & reports abnormalities in deployment or state of alertness among security supervisors & guards on detection.
- Supervision and conduct of training for on-roll & outsource staff and undertake periodic check of state of readiness and alertness for potential emergency situations, including medical emergency & fire fighting.
- Is able to create an effective intelligence network comprising sources or informants, regular liaison with local police and civic governance staff; maintains contact/liaison with vendors for fetching information to support security investigations.
- Adhere to security guidelines & laid down standards for security arrangements for various events, functions & project launches.
- Undertake impromptu security or liaison requirements, as may be called upon time-to-time by the manager or the higher management.
- Meticulously maintains security registers, reports & returns including a record of incidents and security reports on on-going basis; generates proper, detailed incident reports & MIS at stipulated frequency or on requirement.

Fire & Safety

- Make sure that all fire and life safety equipment are where they are meant to be at all times and all fire protection systems like smoke detectors, fire alarms, sprinklers, etc. are all installed properly and also functional at all times
- Support in conducting fire drills/simulations to check the preparedness of fire prevention/protection systems
- Deliver relevant life safety training sessions for the security, house-keeping staff & other employees. Participate in mock fire emergency drills and rehearsals as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform fire and safety risk assessments, including identifying and minimizing fire hazards and safety code violations
- Ensure that emergency procedures are followed and are made as clear as possible so that the occupants would know how to go about things in case of an emergency
- During actual emergency situations, carry out firefighting and rescue activities as per the assigned duties and safety procedures

Skills:Good computer skills; demonstrate the ability to effectively operate and manage systems, tools & processes. Systems include, but are not limited to: security access control, CCTV & alarm systems, email, intranet systems and complex communication device systems.

Qualification: Any graduate with relevant fire safety training/ certification.

Practice and Other Requirements: 5-10 years of experience in security with at least 2 years in a supervisory/Executive role
