Job Description Job Title: Data Collection Specialist (AI/ML) Location: Hybrid Job Type: Full-time/Part-time/Contract Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Collection Specialist to support our AI/ML team in gathering, organizing, and managing high-quality datasets. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our machine learning models are trained on accurate, diverse, and well-structured data. Key Responsibilities - Collect and curate structured and unstructured data from various sources (e.g., websites, databases, APIs, documents, images, audio, video). - Label, annotate, and preprocess data to meet machine learning model requirements. - Ensure data quality by identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, and missing information. - Work closely with data engineers and AI/ML researchers to refine data collection processes. - Implement automation tools to improve data acquisition and management. - Maintain documentation for data sources, collection methods, and quality assurance processes. - Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience with data collection, web scraping, or data annotation tools. - Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for data extraction. - Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data preprocessing techniques. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. - Knowledge of ethical AI and data privacy regulations is preferred. Preferred Skills - Experience using tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy for web scraping. - Familiarity with annotation tools such as Labelbox, CVAT, or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth. - Understanding of different data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, etc.). - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an AI/ML environment.
