Job Title: Database Administrator (SQL Server & PostgreSQL)

Location: Onsite- Mohali

About the Role:

We're hiring an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, monitor, and optimize our SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. If you're passionate about database performance, stability, and security—and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting—this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain production databases using industry-standard DB monitoring tools.
- Perform performance tuning, indexing, and SQL query optimization.
- Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot and proactively resolve database-related issues and bottlenecks.
- Support and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments across development, staging, and production.
- Provide backup and redundancy support for the primary DB administrator.
- Conduct database monitoring and incident management during the absence of the primary DBA.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve database design and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, processes, and procedures.

Role Requirements:

- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and best practices.
- Experience working with high-availability environments and clustered database systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL certifications.
- Experience with additional database platforms (MySQL,Postgress Oracle, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.).
