Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain production databases using industry-standard DB monitoring tools.
Perform performance tuning, indexing, and SQL query optimization.
Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Troubleshoot and proactively resolve database-related issues and bottlenecks.
Support and maintain SQL Server and Postgre SQL environments across development, staging, and production.
Provide backup and redundancy support for the primary DB administrator.
Conduct database monitoring and incident management during the absence of the primary DBA.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve database design and efficiency.
Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, processes, and procedures. Role Requirements: Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in SQL Server and Postgre SQL administration.
Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and best practices.
Experience working with high-availability environments and clustered database systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft SQL Server and Postgre SQL certifications.
Experience with additional database platforms (My SQL, Postgress Oracle, etc.).
Exposure to cloud database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.).
