Deployment Engineer

Job Description Summary A Deployment Engineer is responsible for the entire lifecycle of software and system deployments, including planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in necessary environments. Key duties involve automating deployment processes, creating scripts and tools for deployment pipelines, collaborating with developers and IT operations, ensuring system reliability. Responsible for multitasking and dealing with multiple urgent situations at a time, the Deployment Engineers must be extremely flexible. Your role in our mission - This role is strictly involved in the deployment of the product software and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application deployment and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information. - Create and implement deployment strategies, plan for hardware and software installations, and ensure timely delivery of applications and systems. - Work with development teams and/or Release Manager to understand impacts of branches and code merges - Experience with infrastructure automation tools - Develop and maintain automated deployment systems, CI/CD pipelines, and scripts to streamline the transition from one environment to another. - Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms - Proficient with continuous integration tools - Install, configure, and upgrade software, hardware and other infrastructure components. What We're Looking For - Six or more years of application, web and product design and support experience across the development life cycle, with experience preferred working with Medicaid and Medicare technologies - A strong foundation in software and product design methodologies, programming languages, operating systems, web development and application implementation across the development life cycle - Expertise in application development policies and procedures; and analyzing costing/ and budgets to determine financial feasibility - A skilled designer and programming programmer who is effective across programming languages and environments as needed - A demonstrated team player with the written and oral communication skills to be effective across application developers, clients and leadership - Act as the primary point of contact to diagnose and resolve issues that arise during or after deployment, ensuring system uptime and stability. - Work closely with development, operations, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment process. - Interface with various in-house teams as you create cutting edge mobile first and SaaS-based products - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides for the internal teams. - Monitor deployment processes, analyze system performance, and recommend improvements to enhance scalability and reliability. - Fluency in web languages What You Should Expect In This Role Experience in an Agile team structure - Must have 3 5 years of virtualization experience - Extensive knowledge of software build cycles - Experience deploying code - Experience in software architecture - Demonstrated ability to coach others in best practices - Collaboration across project life cycles - Skilled in interpersonal communication Database Management-System Design-Project Management-Risk Management-Scrum Master Other Experience Minimum Proficiency Requirement, 5+ years of experience: Application systems analysis and development; Configuration and release management processes; Experienced deploying applications in Amazon AWS and Azure; Experience developing and provisioning software products in a SaaS environment Infrastructure/Configuration - Must be an Experienced level Windows/Linux Administrator - MINIMUM Proficiency Requirement, Windows PowerShell DSC, Experience with as-code automation tooling: Ansible, - Additional Experience a plus: AWS CouldFormation, Puppet, Chef, Bash, SaltStack, Docker Software Configuration Management - Must be an Experienced level SCM Administrator - MINIMUM Proficiency Requirement, Experience with at least ALL SCM Tool: Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOp Repo git - Additional Experience a plus: VCTL Continuous Integration/Delivery & Containers - MINIMUM Proficiency Requirement, Experience with CI/CD: Azure DevOp Pipeline, - Additional Experience a plus: N/A Test Automation - Additional Experience with Test Automation: Azure DevOp Test Plan, Selenium.
