About Us Mixing technology data and first-in-class innovation EagleView is not only leading the property data analytics market but also changing lives along the way Come join us and make great things happen EagleView is a fast-growing technology company driving game-changing innovation in multibillion-dollar markets such as property insurance energy construction and government Leveraging 20 years of the most advanced aerial imaging technology in the world along with the most recent advances in machine learning and AI EagleView is fundamentally transforming how our customers do business Overview EagleView the leader in aerial imagery is hiring a Platform Engineer 1 in Cloud Platform Engineering Department As a Platform Engineer Intern you are responsible for helping EagleView achieve continuous delivery and supporting developer enablement and cost optimization of our cloud environments You will be working on several automation projects in AWS Finops and Product fields ensuring seamless product delivery In cooperation with software engineers machine learning teams and finance you will use a scientific methodology to identify programmatic solutions to achieve objectives that will be executed within the SAFe Agile framework You should have a programming background in Python containerization with Docker experience with AWS experience with some form of Infrastructure as Code Experience or Knowledge of AI ML would be a bonus You can function independently and enjoy cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Work closely with senior DevOps members on projects involving Jenkins Kubernetes Terraform AWS cloud and scripting in Python or Golang Support DevOps and Platform Engineering tasks to ensure the smooth deployment and management of applications across cloud environments Participate in the development and implementation of automation projects using AWS services to improve efficiency and scalability Develop manage and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform ensuring robust and repeatable infrastructure setups Design implement and manage CI CD pipelines using Jenkins to facilitate automated testing and deployment processes Assist in monitoring and observability efforts to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud systems Work with configuration management and automation applications such as Ansible Packer etc Engage in troubleshooting and resolving challenging problems in an efficient and robust manner Provide regular reports on project progress challenges and outcomes to senior team members Optionally contribute to UI development tasks using JavaScript or React Qualifications Completed BA or BS in computer science or related field and or equivalent work experience Strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages with demonstrable project work Basic understanding of AI ML concepts and frameworks as applied to software development Preferred Experience Solid understanding and practical experience with Python Golang or other programming languages Basic understanding of AI ML concepts and frameworks as applied to software development Prior experience or projects in automation or cloud with AWS is highly preferable Proficiency in Jenkins Kubernetes and Terraform Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving technical problems Ability to take initiative quickly take ownership of tasks and deliver results independently and efficiently Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Optional Proficiency in JavaScript React Frontend development is a plus EEO Statement This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that a workforce member in this position may be asked to perform Duties and responsibilities can be changed expanded reduced or delegated by management to meet the business needs of the company The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate s work experience education and licenses work-related training key skills the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities additional benefits offered and the location where the work will be performed
