Global Technology Solutions GTS at ResMed is a division dedicated to creating innovative scalable and secure platforms and services for patients providers and people across ResMed The primary goal of GTS is to accelerate well-being and growth by transforming the core enabling patient people and partner outcomes and building future-ready operations The strategy of GTS focuses on aligning goals and promoting collaboration across all organizational areas This includes fostering shared ownership developing flexible platforms that can easily scale to meet global demands and implementing global standards for key processes to ensure efficiency and consistency At ResMed we are changing lives with every breath - improving patient quality of life preventing chronic disease progression and reducing healthcare system costs Our mission is to delight ResMed s developer community with an opinionated yet empathetic developer experience that avoids surprises is a joy to use and abstracts the complexities of modern development to accelerate the pace of ResMed s next-generation Healthcare Informatics platform We re looking for an Engineering Manager for Developer Experience team who will lead a team of talented engineers in building the platforms and tools that empower our developers You ll be both a technical and functional leader responsible for the growth wellbeing and delivery success of a team of 3-6 engineers Responsibilities and Accountabilities Lead and mentor a team of software engineers fostering a culture of ownership innovation and continuous improvement Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs align priorities and build a clear value-driven roadmap Own the delivery of features and platform services that support the scalability and reliability of the Compute platform Encourage a developer-first mindset always considering the experience and productivity of internal engineering teams Collaborate across teams to define standards drive adoption of best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning Partner with engineering leadership and senior stakeholders to shape strategy and drive impactful technical outcomes Promote inner sourcing practices and help build a developer community within ResMed Balance delivery and execution with people management - act as both a mentor and a hands-on contributor where needed Lead hiring efforts onboarding and career development within your team Qualifications and Experience BS MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 10 years of software development or platform engineering experience with 2 years in an engineering leadership role team lead tech lead or engineering manager Experience building and operating production systems with a strong understanding of reliability observability and incident response A passion for developer experience and platform engineering with a commitment to improving the day-to-day lives of developers Deep understanding of modern development practices including CI CD testing source control and observability 5 years of experience with public cloud platforms AWS preferred especially cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes Docker serverless etc Experience delivering large and small codebases across multiple languages such as Java JavaScript Python Go etc Strong architectural skills with experience rethinking legacy systems and driving modernization efforts Ability to articulate and implement a vision while inspiring our large developer community to join forces Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences Joining us is more than saying yes to making the world a healthier place It s discovering a career that s challenging supportive and inspiring Where a culture driven by excellence helps you not only meet your goals but also create new ones We focus on creating a diverse and inclusive culture encouraging individual expression in the workplace and thrive on the innovative ideas this generates If this sounds like the workplace for you apply now We commit to respond to every applicant
