About Us Casaplex integrates cutting-edge technology into smart buildings to provide solutions for corporate office spaces hospitality government education and even high-end residential applications Our mission is to enhance the way people work and collaborate through the innovative use of technology To achieve our objectives we focus on three simple things 1 Hiring and developing great people 2 Creating carefully engineered solutions and 3 Turning our clients and employees into lifelong raving fans We offer all the standard benefits including health and dental paid time off a 401k with company match and a great working environment filled with energetic team-oriented people Summary The Casaplex Engineer will be tasked with engineering systems ranging from large commercial systems to high-end residential systems The engineer will be asked to design systems which meet all requirements specified by the client and or described by the sales representative He she will be responsible for providing a design that the project team can execute profitably ensure the installation of the system meets the design requirements and standards and assist in any technical capacity throughout the lifecycle of the project The engineer will be reviewing quotes or taking a more involved approach in the sales pre-configuration process This team member must have proficiency in estimating costs including but not limited to labor project management field engineering and commissioning The Casaplex Design Engineer will maintain communication with the sales team in responding to RFQs and RFPs assist the sales team in both pre-sale and post-sale requirements This person will be responsible for understanding and enforcing Casaplex standards and will show an intermediate skill level of CAD software and how we use it as a company Responsibilities xc2 xb7 Develop an understanding of all systems to include Audio Video Security Access Control Networks Lighting Control and any other electronic system which Casaplex sells now or in the future xc2 xb7 Assist in drafting designs including schematics elevations plans and details xc2 xb7 Analyze client needs to produce a system that meets all requirements xc2 xb7 Work with engineering teams of our vendor partners to efficiently leverage their resources to create designs xc2 xb7 Produce Bill of Materials for proposals and client change orders xc2 xb7 Review technical accuracy of sales team proposals xc2 xb7 Assist in bid responses for large commercial jobs xc2 xb7 Work with other departments to revise and improve Casaplex standard packages xc2 xb7 Work with and advise the department manager to develop Casaplex design engineering processes and training in our Learning Management System xc2 xb7 Read and correctly interpret bid specifications architectural drawings and schematic drawings xc2 xb7 Exhibit resourcefulness eagerly researching new technologies xc2 xb7 Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projectsRequirements xc2 xb7 AVIXA CTS CTS-D preferred xc2 xb7 Minimum 5 years industry experience xc2 xb7 Basic CAD software proficiency xc2 xb7 Audio DSP programming knowledge of major platforms preferred xc2 xb7 Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency xc2 xb7 Familiarity with current AV technologies xc2 xb7 Desire to learn new technologies and applications xc2 xb7 Time management and organizational strategies to maximize productivity and maintain independence xc2 xb7 Professional appearance and demeanor when onsite xc2 xb7 Must be familiar with National Building and Electrical code as well as how they relate to Casaplex systemsInstructions for Applying to this OpportunityTo apply for this role you must submit a custom cover letter explaining why you are interested in this specific role at Casaplex
