for Sr Manager - Design Position Senior Manager Design Designation Sr Manager Role Design Department Design Development No of Vacancy 1 Location Kolkata Employment Type Permanent Trainee - Fresher Permanent Reporting Manager HOD Design AGM Level Required to handle a team yes no Yes If yes then how many employees 8-10 Design Engineers including Trainees Work Related Travel Required yes no Yes Travel - Extensive Occasional Minimal Minimal Educational Qualifications Mandatory B Tech B E Mechanical Educational Qualifications Preferred Primary Skills Must Have Good knowledge of Construction Equipment Manufacturing Assembly processes able to read related engineering drawings Proficiency in Auto cad excel ODOO and ERP or relevant software Secondary Skills Optional Preferred Diploma in Mechanical Optional Certifications required if any Position approved by Management yes no Yes If yes then name of the approver Job Responsibilities 1 Develop machine designs using SolidWorks AutoCAD Mechanical 2 Calculations Design Bom Preparation 3 Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various heavy machinery and Hydraulics projects 4 Review the inputs received from the clients and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent 5 Provide regular work status updates including risks or concerns to Discipline Lead Project Manager Project Lead 6 Ensure compliance with industry standards during the design process 7 Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with site layout 8 AutoCAD Revit SolidWorks or similar CAD tools 9 Design and develop new products ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions 10 Strong engineering design skills including Machine Design and Strength of Materials 11 Assist in the development and testing of prototypes for new designs and technologies 12 Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining welding grinding plating painting and heat treatments 13 Preferred experience in the hydraulic industry 14 Manage a team of 8-10 Design Engineers Proficiency in Machine Edge Solid Edge Solid Works AutoCAD 3D Modeling Design Validation Layout Preparation Design Calculations SPM Design Special Purpose Machine Design Soft Skills Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English with the ability to create clear fluent and concise communications Ability to work in boundary-less team environments fostering cooperation and motivation among team members Strong interpersonal skills with a diplomatic approach to resolve issues Skilled in planning analysis and adaptability with a focus on resolving crises effectively Role Design Engineer Industry Type Hydraulic Equipment Machinery Department Design Development Employment Type Full Time Permanent Role Category Engineering Manufacturing
