Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Operations

Job Description Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in program management with designing, constructing, or managing infrastructure projects. - Experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder management. Preferred qualifications: - Experience in technical program management, change management, and Artificial Intelligence. - Experience with data analysis using SQL or equivalent. - Experience in mapping technologies or mapping operations. - Ability to track record of defining measurements and data quality metrics. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world. Responsibilities - Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact. - Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables. - Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs. - Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations. - Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
