Program Manager, Geo, Quality and Operations Excellence

Job Description Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in program or project management. - Experience with technical operations and program management methodologies. Preferred qualifications: - 5 years of experience in program or project management. - 5 years of experience in process improvement, quality control, quality assurance, stakeholder management. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience with Six Sigma process excellence - Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause of quality issues and develop effective solutions, including strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Comfortable working with and formulating AI based solutions. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world. Responsibilities - Design and deliver predictable program communication plans in collaboration with program stakeholders, including communications by stakeholder type. - Determine phasing and metrics associated with program life-cycle that address continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) in close collaboration with program stakeholders, including objectives. - Build relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
