Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Custom Clearance Agent based in Bengaluru. We are seeking a seasoned and highly-networkedSenior AssociateLogistics & Customs Complianceto manage OperationsThe ideal candidate is an expert in Indian customs regulations with extensive hands-on experience working as a Customs House Agent (CHA).The Custom Clearance Agent will be responsible for handling import-export documents, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating with customs brokers, and providing excellent customer service. Additional tasks include managing communications with clients, handling inquiries, and resolving any issues related to the clearance process. Qualifications - Customs Brokerage, Import Export, and Export skills - Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills - Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with regulations - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently - Experience in the logistics or relocation industry is a plus - Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field is preferred - Experience:A minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in customs clearance and logistics, with a significant portion of that time spent working directly for a licensed CHA firm. - CHA Certification (Mandatory):Must possess or have previously held a validCHA card (e.g., G-Card or H-Card)under the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations (CBLR). This is a non-negotiable requirement. - Expert Knowledge:In-depth, practical knowledge of Indian Customs law, tariff classification, valuation, INCOTERMS, and port/CFS operations. - Network:A strong, established network of contacts within the customs and logistics community across major Indian airports.
