Job Title Deputy Manager - Production Department Production Reports to Head of Production Location Kharagpur Job Summary We re looking for a seasoned production professional to lead our pail and bucket manufacturing operations The successful candidate will have a strong background in production management with a focus on quality efficiency and cost-effectiveness Key Responsibilities 1 Production Planning Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing inventory levels 2 Quality Control Ensure that all products meet quality standards implementing quality control measures and conducting regular inspections 3 Process Improvement Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency reduce costs and enhance product quality 4 Team Management Lead and motivate a team of production staff providing training and guidance as needed 5 Inventory Management Manage inventory levels of raw materials work-in-progress and finished goods minimizing waste and excess inventory 6 Safety and Compliance Ensure that all production activities are carried out in a safe and compliant manner adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies 7 Collaboration Work closely with other departments such as sales procurement and maintenance to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise Requirements Bachelor s degree in a relevant field e g mechanical engineering production management Minimum 7 years of experience in production management preferably in the pail and bucket industry Proven track record of improving production efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Skills Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools e g Kaizen 5S Knowledge of quality management systems e g ISO 9001 Familiarity with production planning and inventory management software e g ERP MRP Certification in production management or a related field is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for career growth and development Collaborative and dynamic work environment Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance
