Role Description: We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer + Subject Matter Expert Full Stack to join our Computer Science Department. This is an academically focused role that requires a strong background in Web Development, along with experience in teaching and mentoring students in core Computer Science subjects. Key Responsibilities - Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in MERN Stack. - Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum. - Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth. - Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation. - Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations. Qualifications & Experience - 1-3 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Full Stack Development. - Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, React.js, Angular, and the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), with a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies or frameworks as needed. - Strong grasp of Full Stack Development, with experience in UI design, performance optimization, and frameworks like React.js, React Native, and Node.js. - Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students. - Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics Good-to-Have - Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. - Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools. - Experience in software development and system design.
