**Must Have**:

- Responsible for developing the organization’s overall financial policies.
- Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
- Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure.
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
- Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.).
- Experience in the Travel Domain will be added advantage.

**Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To**:

- Developing plans for growth to increase company profit.
- Identifying investment opportunities and managing mergers and acquisitions.
- Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions.
- Directing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information.
- Managing or overseeing the relationship with independent auditors.
- Overseeing financial systems implementations and upgrades.
- Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements.
- Business Intelligence skills.
- Statutory and mandatory compliance.

**Key Requirements & Characteristics**:

- collaborating with the CEO, board, and other senior managers in Canada.
- Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions.
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff.
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Zoho Books).
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
