Vadodara, India SARV MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL Full time

Take over the charge cot to cot from the medical officer of previous shift.
- To record vital signs of all the patients cot by cot.
- To assist with the OPD patients, the vaccinations and small procedures of Consultant doctors
- All case papers of the wards, special rooms and deluxe rooms to be checked and ensured of last 12 hours. Particularly the treatment part, reports of investigations, Pre & Post operative orders and any other procedures.
- Patient should be attended immediately after admission by the medical officer on duty.
- Medical officer to be present on their respective work station round the duty time.
- Prescriptions should be written and authorized by on duty medical officer only.
- Discharge summary to be prepared by on duty medical officer at the time of duty to avoid extra waiting time at the time of discharge. To ensure that the summary should be signed by consultant doctors.
- Nursing chart/Treatment sheet to be checked and ensured for the timely execution of doctors’ order with proper recording and implementation.
- I.V. drip to be monitored time to time as per the order of the consultant doctor or as per the severity of the patient.
- Next day all patients’ fresh orders by doctors should be written with date, time and name of the medical officers.
- Treatment sheet to be checked thoroughly for whether nurses have completed their medication & nursing care part is implemented.
- To ensure the prescribed investigations are carried out on time. To ensure the reports are received and informed to the concerned consultant doctor. To ensure the reports are documented.
- Handing over the charge to the medical officer of the next shift.
- Pre operative orders if any to be checked and consent of the patients’ to be signed and documented.
- Pre-operative fitness to be obtained and documented.
- Pre-operative measures to be taken and documented. Part preparation instructions should be forwarded and ensured.
- Post-operative patients to be monitored according to the severity of the patient.
- To ensure the instructions of consultants are followed by the staff properly for post
- operative patients such as diet, fluid intake and output measurement, vitals and to be documented for the same
- To inform the H.R in case of absence of reliever doctor. Do not leave your working station unless the reliever is available.
- To ensure the treatment is given to the patients properly, timely & to be recorded on the treatment sheet.
- Admitted patients’ case papers to be documented correctly and properly with patient’s full name, age, gender.
- In emergency cases if we are unable to treat / DAMA/ any other reason or before referring the patient to the other centre, C.E.O. must be informed when required.
- Any new case admitted and referred by consultant doctors/GP/our RMO, the name of the consent doctor should be written on the front page of the indoor case paper. The consent doctor should be informed about the treatment provided to the patient and progress of the patients time to time and documented for the same
- To work continuously for enhancement of quality for the department.
- To keep up-to-date knowledge on all newly certified drugs and their prescribed uses.
- To provide information on new medications to subordinates, interns, nurses.
- To maintain patients’ confidence by keeping personal information confidential. To ensure the information related to the disease should not be discussed to anyone else without patients’ permission.
- To counsel (for prognosis, further investigations, medicines, package of procedures and medications) the relatives of the patient as and when required and same to be documented.
- To keep updating about patients’ prognosis to the relatives and same to be documented with date and time in case paper.
- Fill up the initial assessment form in detail.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
