Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:

- Review, challenge, replicate the KPIs observed in the model monitoring reports
- Comprehend various regulatory guidance / documents (SS1/23, S166, BIA etc.) on expectations around model performance monitoring and governance around such approaches
- Building strong working relationships across MRM and outside MRM function and influence key decisions.

Main duties include:

- Enhance policy / standards in line with regulatory requirements around ongoing performance assessment (OPA) by MRM.
- Collaborate with IVU, Model owners and Model Governance teams to develop OPA framework.
- Perform independent check and challenge on the Monitoring reports, as per the OPA framework/standards.
- Share findings from governance review with wider audience and agree actionable remediation plan with the stake holders

What will you be doing?
- Keep up to date with regulatory expectations on the OPA review
- Engage with multiple teams to discuss the regulatory feedback and propose inputs for OPA framework
- Maintain a log of all identified Monitoring models in scope of OPA
- Independently assess the reports submitted for ongoing performance monitoring
- Train and support the team in the OPA check and challenge process.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in Risk or other parts of Investment Banks: ability to understand Risk and/or banking products and explain them at a high level.
- Experience in Model Monitoring: Understanding of the approach used for Model development, monitoring, model validation (regulatory models preferred)
- Communication - Strong communication skills. Can produce concise, organized and thoughtful presentations for technical and non-technical audiences

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Project Management - Ability to run projects independently and has a grasp of PM concepts and best practices.
- Experience of or exposure to Data Science: Ability to understand, discuss, design and challenge the approach.
- Communication - Strong communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications - MBA, CA, Masters in Statistics, Finance or Engineering.
- Experience with Data Analysis tools (SAS, Python) and MS Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio and SharePoint skills)
