Equity Data Modeller

The FTSE Russell Data Governance team is committed to enforcing the LSEG Data Governance policy using standardized tools, policies, and frameworks. This includes establishing metrics, corrective actions, and reporting to monitor the impact and progress of their initiatives. The Data Governance Data Modeller/Architect will play a critical role, reporting to the Data Governance Director. This position is pivotal in developing comprehensive end-to-end lineage models, capturing object-level data across the FTSE Russell data landscape using automated processes and advanced data governance tools. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in data governance, index operations, technology, and product departments to refine and present business-ready data.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the demonstration of adherence to the LSEG Data Lineage Standard using advanced Solidatus visual modelling.
- Execute the deployment of the Solidatus Lineage solution on the Azure cloud platform.
- Implement JDBC & ODI connectors to integrate object data from the FTSE Russell data estate into Solidatus.
- Develop intricate lineage models in Solidatus, incorporating views, filters, and rules to enhance data visualization and comprehension.
- Document data ownership and establish integrations with enterprise data repositories.
Skills & Experience:
- Over five years of data modelling or architectural experience in a substantial enterprise environment.
- Professional qualifications in Azure Data Science Associate or Azure Data Engineering Associate Certification, along with Data Management Certification (e.g., CDMP, DCAM).
- Completion of the Microsoft Learning Path: "Govern data across an enterprise".
- Desirable: Hands-on experience with MS Purview.
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas) and SQL.
- Beneficial: Solidatus Approved Model Builder certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work inclusively, communicate effectively, and collaborate within a team, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.
