Mott MacDonald is actively seeking a Technical Principal/Principal Architect, this position will be responsible for the following:
- design coordination for all teams throughout all project stages and assures designs meet requirements set out in the agreement.
- preparation, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of the Design Management Plan
**The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to**:
- Technical leadership
- Client management and interaction
- Leading tasks and supervising other engineers/architects
- Innovative, performance-based, design and analysis
- Perform studies, evaluations, and preliminary designs
- Prepare contract documents including drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Ensuring the accuracy of design and contract documents
- Mentoring junior staff
**Desirable qualifications**:
- Bachelor/Masters in Architecture
- Significant experience in various projects incl Buildings - residential, commercial, rails, metro
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Should have a good command over BIM, Photoshop, lumenRT etc.
- Should be able to interface with Civil/Structural and MEP teams
- Self-motivated and experienced in developing design concepts, analysis methodologies, and delivering quality work
- Demonstrated abilities to work within project timeframes and budget constraints
- Ability to travel to clients and job sites and be willing to attend meetings after regular business hours - travel will be required.
- Experience with design-build pursuit or design-build plans and specifications production
- Working knowledge of BIM
