Job Title: SQL Database Administrator (DBA)Job Description:

- We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of our SQL Server databases. This role requires a strong understanding of SQL Server and its related technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.**Responsibilities**:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across various platforms.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database performance.
- Design and implement database backup, recovery, and security strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schema and queries.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including database standards, procedures, and data dictionaries.
- Create and manage database users, roles, permissions, and security policies.
- Identify and resolve database integrity issues, performance bottlenecks, and other data-related issues.
- Perform data migration, data replication, and database version upgrades.
- Proactively identify and implement solutions to enhance database reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing operation of databases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 to 8 years of experience as a SQL DBA or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Understanding of database security and backup/recovery strategies.
- Deep understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and monitoring.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Industry certifications related to SQL Server administration.
