**About the role**

Adam Smith International is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Global People & Talent team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to our People & Talent team, ensuring the smooth running of HR processes and procedures.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Support with global pre-employment checks for both corporate hires and for project staff hires.
- Support the global team by providing clerical, coordination and administrative support including responding to first-level HR queries through ZOHO (our HR ticketing system), such as the Starters, Leavers, Changes (SLC) requests spreadsheet (this captures any required actions for new joiners, leavers) for contracting associates, escalating where required.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the People & Talent’s shared Microsoft Teams channel, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements; compliance with ASI standards, processes and policies; and assisting with migrating to a new HRIS.
- Assist the global People & Talent team in keeping track of probation, ensuring timely communication to line manager and direct report are issued.
- Support broader Global P&T on special projects as required such as migration onto the new HRIS.
- Provide weekly report to key stakeholders such as IT on new joiners and leavers to ensure good management of security and IT equipment is maintained.

**Key Accountabilities include**:

- Delivery of high-quality HR assistance, upholding high standards of integrity, trust, and confidentiality as reliable support for the P&T Managers.
- Capable assistance to the global teams, providing timely and relevant help as needed.
- Support to the Global P&T Team as required.
- Relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in an office setting, preferably in providing high quality human resources administration and support.
- High level of technology skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to listen with supreme discretion balanced with assertiveness and integrity.
- Highly developed communication skills (both verbal and written), with a consultative approach to addressing issues.
- Ability to effectively and accurately prioritise tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset and initiative to take innovative and flexible approaches to tasks and troubleshooting.
- Adept at learning new things and asking for help or clarification when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for administration done well.
