**Job Description**:
Position Summary:
The Agriculturist Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting agricultural initiatives, providing expertise and guidance to enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability in farming operations. This position involves working closely with farmers, government agencies, and agricultural organizations to implement best practices, promote innovation, and address challenges in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Farm Assessment and Consultation:

- Conduct field visits to assess farming operations, soil quality, crop health, and pest management practices.
- Provide technical assistance and advisory services to farmers on crop selection, planting techniques, irrigation methods, and fertilizer usage.
- Collaborate with agricultural extension services to deliver training programs and workshops on modern farming practices and technologies.
- Research and Development:

- Stay abreast of the latest trends, research findings, and innovations in agriculture through literature review, conferences, and networking.
- Design and implement research projects to test new farming techniques, crop varieties, and agricultural technologies.
- Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of adopting new practices or technologies in local farming contexts.
- Crop Monitoring and Management:

- Monitor crop growth, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks to identify potential risks and implement timely interventions.
- Collect and analyze data on yield, quality, and input usage to assess performance and recommend improvements.
- Work with farmers to develop integrated pest management (IPM) plans and sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact.
- Regulatory Compliance and Extension Services:

- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, policies, and standards related to food safety, environmental protection, and land use.
- Provide support to government agencies and agricultural cooperatives in disseminating information, conducting training sessions, and facilitating farmer outreach programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges such as market access, resource scarcity, and climate change resilience in agriculture.
- Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of farm visits, consultations, and research activities for reporting and evaluation purposes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and educational materials to communicate findings, recommendations, and best practices to stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and working groups to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and contribute to policy discussions on agricultural development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in agricultural extension, farm management, or agronomic research.
- Deep understanding of crop production techniques, soil science, and agricultural economics.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using agricultural tools and technologies, GIS software, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with agricultural policies, regulations, and market dynamics.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
