Senior Systems Analyst
The Sr Systems Analyst installs, configures and maintains the organization's operating systems. This job analyzes information systems designs and ensures they are appropriate for users' needs and are consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. While working under general supervision, this job participates in many projects to solve systems issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for defining/analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions, and implementing computer system requirements.
- Develops system scope through existing knowledge and fact-finding that informs the development or modification of complex information systems.
- Implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Creates flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Drafts technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Identifies system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Reviews procedures to solve complex problems that considers items such as computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.

Job Overview
- The individual will be responsible for leading L2 support team. The individual will require to ensure high level of customer satisfaction for all Business users of the Data platform. L2 manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day L2 activities, managing support and on-call rotations, providing regular updates and dashboards on L2 activities. This role requires to have a solid technical background on large data platform environment. The individual in this role will have to coordinate and work with various internal and external teams as applicable.
Key Functions:
- Provide tier II (Level 2) support functions covering 12PM IST until 9PM IST throughout the year
- Handle all inbound and outbound jobs running on the Dalake Platform. Resolve/escalate internally/ externally to vendor as needed.
- Manage/resolve issues with all aspects of the Nuveen Datalake batch process, primarily focused on meeting trading system SLAs.
- Manage alert notifications and communications to business partners when issues arise.
- Monitor routine and critical processes and workflows and proactively identify problem trends
Requirements (Education and Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
- Manage escalations affecting business operations while ensuring the team maintains overall responsibility for the problem or activity
- Manage and ensure delivery of project tasks as required
- Ensure SLAs and SLOs are met with necessary reporting on the same.
- Excellent documentation skills to create and manage run books and operations documentation
- Supporting experience for Hadoop distribution platforms like Cloudera or AWS EMR.
- Must have consistent track record of managing teams in high performance environments
- Extensive experience in supporting and managing data lake ingestion, validation, transformation and consumption services leveraging big data tools like Hive, Spark.
- Must be ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks for self and the team
- Must have in-depth experience with incident and ticket management systems and related operating methodology
- A bachelor degree in computer science or engineering field.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ year support experience of Big Data technologies in Hadoop ecosystem - Hive, HDFS, MapReduce, Spark, Yarn, Kafka, Pig, HBase, Sqoop, Elastic Search, Kerberos.
- 5+ year experience with ETL/ELT tools such as AWS Glue ETL, Talend, Datastage etc.
- 5+ year experience on Enterprise Support Management systems related Tools and Best Practices.
- Relevant technical certification, such as ITIL etc. is a plus
- Experience with Jira and Agile methodology is a plus;
- Experience with understanding DevOps or CI/CD process w.r.t to support management activities
