Job Title: Collection and Bill Submission Specialist

**Job Description**:
As a Collection and Bill Submission Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and streamline the collection process and ensure the timely submission of bills and invoices. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the financial stability and efficiency of the organization.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Collection Management:

- Contact customers or clients to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Implement effective collection strategies to minimize delinquencies and improve cash flow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and handle customer inquiries regarding outstanding balances.

2. Bill Submission:

- Prepare and submit bills, invoices, and statements to customers accurately and on time.
- Verify billing information, such as rates, quantities, discounts, and applicable taxes.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales or services, to ensure accurate billing data.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.

3. Financial Reporting:

- Generate regular reports on outstanding balances, collections, and bill submission status.
- Analyze collection data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile collections and identify any potential financial risks.

4. Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and customer support, to resolve customer issues related to billing.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable is desirable.
- Proficient in using billing and accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing collections and billing practices.
