**Job Description: Activity Coordinator**

**Position Overview**:The Activity Coordinator at Meru International School plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall educational experience for students by planning, organizing, and overseeing a diverse range of co-curricular activities. This role requires a creative and enthusiastic individual who can collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to create a well-rounded learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Program Development**:

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive co-curricular activity program that aligns with the school's educational goals and values.
- Identify a diverse range of activities, including clubs, sports, arts, cultural events, and workshops, to cater to the interests and talents of the student body.
**Activity Planning**:

- Design activity schedules, ensuring a balance between extracurricular commitments and academic responsibilities.
- Secure necessary resources, equipment, and facilities for each activity.
- Coordinate with external partners, experts, and organizations to provide students with enriching experiences.
**Student Engagement**:

- Promote co-curricular activities to students, encouraging their active participation and exploration of diverse interests.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and supported to engage in activities.

**Faculty Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with teachers to integrate co-curricular activities into the curriculum, fostering interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Support faculty members who serve as advisors for clubs or activities, providing guidance and resources.
**Event Management**:

- Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of co-curricular events, performances, tournaments, and exhibitions.
- Ensure logístical arrangements, safety protocols, and necessary permissions are in place for all activities.

**Communication**:

- Maintain open communication channels with students, parents, and teachers, keeping them informed about upcoming activities, schedules, and achievements.
- Utilize various communication platforms to share updates and promote participation.

**Assessment and Feedback**:

- Evaluate the effectiveness of co-curricular activities in achieving desired learning outcomes.
- Gather feedback from students, parents, and teachers to continuously improve the quality and diversity of offerings.

**Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of participation, achievements, and attendance for each co-curricular activity.
- Prepare reports summarizing the impact and outcomes of the program.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in coordinating co-curricular activities in an educational setting, preferably in an international school context.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Creativity and the ability to design engaging and inclusive activities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in using technology for communication and activity management.
