**Job Title**: School Librarian **(Female only)**

**Summary**: The School Librarian is responsible for managing the school library and supporting both students and staff by providing resources, fostering a love of reading, and facilitating information literacy. This role involves organizing library resources, guiding students in research and study skills, and collaborating with teachers to enhance curriculum delivery through information resources.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Library Management**:

- Organize, catalog, and maintain the library collection, including books, digital media, and other educational materials.
- Implement effective systems for the borrowing, return, and tracking of library items.
- Ensure the library is a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for all students.
- **Support for Students**:

- Help students develop literacy, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Recommend books and resources tailored to students' interests and educational needs.
- Offer guidance on using digital resources and databases for research and learning.
- **Collaboration with Staff**:

- Work with teachers to incorporate library resources into the curriculum.
- Provide professional development and training to staff on effective use of library resources and technology.
- Assist in developing lesson plans that integrate library skills and information literacy.

- Teach students how to use research databases, e-books, and online educational resources effectively.
- Manage the library's digital catalog and any related software or online platforms.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Develop and manage the library budget.
- Prepare reports on library usage and student engagement.
- Keep the library collection current by acquiring new materials that align with educational goals and student needs.
- **Supervision and Training**:

- Oversee student aides or library assistants as needed.
- Provide orientation and training for new users of the library.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (Master's degree in Library Science or Education preferred).
- **Certification**: Valid teaching certification or librarian credential (as required by state/province).
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a school or educational library setting preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of library management software and digital resources.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment.

- Creative, proactive, and capable of building positive relationships with students and staff

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
