Front Desk Receptionist

The Education Front Desk Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception experience. This role encompasses a variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the educational institution's front office.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Greeting and Welcoming**:
- Receive and greet visitors, students, and parents with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person or department.
- **Communication Management**:
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and conducive to a professional environment.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain and update student records and files, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy (Resume Head).
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
- Provide administrative support to school administrators, including tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- **Security and Compliance**:
- Monitor entry points, maintain visitor logs, and ensure compliance with security protocols (Career Sidekick).
- **Customer Service**:
- Address concerns and provide information to students, parents, and visitors, fostering positive relationships (Career Sidekick).
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in office administration or customer service is a plus (Resume Head).
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
