Barista

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic barista to join our team at Cafe Amigos Expresso. As a barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service to our valued patrons. Your passion for coffee, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor will contribute to creating a memorable and enjoyable coffeehouse experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Take customer orders, ensuring accuracy and attentiveness to individual preferences.
- Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries regarding coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu items.
- Uphold strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the preparation and serving areas, including equipment maintenance and regular cleaning.
- Ensure adequate stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies to meet customer demand.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, engaging with customers, and creating a positive experience for each guest.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth operations during peak hours and assist in food preparation as needed.
- Stay updated on current coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry developments to enhance knowledge and provide excellent service.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and drink recipes.
- Proficient in operating espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality in beverage preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.
