Production Supervisor - Welding Machine Manufacturing Company

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our welding machine manufacturing company. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production activities within our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our welding machines are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Oversight:

- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of manufacturing tasks.
- Assign and monitor work schedules for production team members, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production goals.
- Conduct regular production meetings to communicate goals, targets, and expectations to the team.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Enforce strict adherence to quality control measures, ensuring that all welding machines meet our established quality standards.
- Monitor the production process to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control department to implement corrective actions and improve product quality.

3. Safety Compliance:

- Promote and enforce a safety-first culture within the production area.
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, equipment operation procedures, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, taking appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.

4. Training and Development:

- Identify training needs for production staff and coordinate with the HR department to provide necessary training and development opportunities.
- Foster a learning environment to enhance the skills and knowledge of the production team.

5. Process Improvement:

- Continuously evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to implement process enhancements and product innovations.

6. Inventory Management:

- Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability to meet production demands.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain department to manage inventory flow and minimize stockouts.

7. Performance Management:

- Conduct regular performance evaluations for production team members, providing feedback and coaching for individual development.
- Recognize and reward outstanding performance to motivate the team.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate production records, including production outputs, scrap rates, and downtime.
- Generate reports on production performance and present them to the management team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience in a production supervisory role.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the production of welding machines or related equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
- Sound knowledge of welding processes, quality control principles, and safety protocols.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, as production demands may require.
