About the role We are seeking a Psychiatric Social Worker who will be responsible for providing mental health support and counselling services to patients at Sukoon Recovery Centre. You will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to assess patients' social, emotional, and psychological needs to develop treatment plans and provide ongoing counselling and therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical social work principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and nurses. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals, families, and groups to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns

Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote positive change and improve patients' overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and relevant documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for patients' rights and access to resources by assisting them in navigating social services, community resources, and entitlement programs.
- Stay updated with current research, best practices, and industry trends in clinical social work, and integrate new knowledge into practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement programs that address community needs and promote mental health awareness.

Requirements and Skills
- Master of Philosophy in Psychiatric Social Work with supervised clinical training.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Prior experience of working in a psychiatric or addiction treatment setting, preferably in a rehabilitation facility
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, substance abuse, and addiction treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity to work with diverse populations
