**About the Role**

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Payroll Offer to join our team assisting our Australian based client. A key aspect of the role will be assisting our client’s payroll team. **You must have prior experience handling Australian payroll to be considered for this role**. The position is based in our Trans Asia Cyber Park office, Kochi.

You will be responsible for:

- Collect daily, weekly timesheets.
- Processing fortnightly payroll for 200+ salary and wages employees.
- Calculate bonuses and allowances.
- Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software.
- Schedule bank payments.
- Report on payroll expenses.
- Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
- Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases.
- Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions.
- Complete Month End Processes including, but not limited to, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliation, preparation of month-end financials.
- Preparation of government compliance process including IAS, BAS, Payroll Tax, Super, my leave etc.

**About You**
- 2+ years of payroll experience working with an Australian company.
- Strong understanding of the legislative requirements for Australian payroll.
- B-com/M-com or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- High level of attention to detail, analytical ability, proven technical skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve issues to resolution.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (English).
- The ability to liaise, consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound working knowledge of PC-based accounting systems, financial decisions support tools, financial report writers, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- A results-orientated mind set.
