- Wholesale consolidator for International-Express companies
- Middle mile processing of customs brokerage and linehaul
- Facilitator of E-commerce logistics
- Specialist in Time Critical Logistics - Hand Carry OBC, NFO, Charters
- Provider for Door-to-Door express courier and freight

We are currently seeking to fill the role of Operations Supervisor (OBC/NFO) based in Chennai. This is a full time job overseeing and assisting the OBC & NFO teams in the performance of their job duties such as responding to customer rate and shipment enquiries and ensuring that the shipments are handled from start to finish to the fullest satisfaction of the customer by resolving any operational issue or customer complaints promptly.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the NFO/OBC teams ensuring that all rate and shipment enquiries are responded to within the stipulated time, follow-up for getting confirmation from customer, organize pick-up and communicate with concerned OBC/Airline as the case may be for timely onboard/uplift, monitor and track until arrival and final delivery to consignee.
- Manage a team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments such as Hub & Ground Operations, Customs, Ticketing, etc., to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, baggage and airlines security requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and quality of service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.

**Key Soft Skills**:

- Should be able to communicate well in the English language, both written and spoken, with local and international officials involved, customers and vendors/suppliers. The ability to communicate in Hindi and any other international language(s), will be an added advantage.
- Possess the required competency to resolve operational issues independently and where applicable improve or implement new processes to continuously improve service quality and delivery to the customer.
- Possess good organizational, analytical and time-management skills and be able to multitask.
- Should be highly motivated, organized, reliable and possess excellent customer service and entrepreneurial skills.
- Strong negotiating skills for procuring better rates from Airlines and vendors/suppliers.
- Be willing to travel or relocate in a span of 3 years within India or abroad (USA, Australia & Dubai)
- Be willing to undergo industry related trainings in the place of posting within India or abroad

**Technical Skills**:

- Ability to handle company’s core products mentioned above
- Possess good working experience with WCA agents, airlines, domestic land transport companies, customs brokers and in commercials.
- Possess sound knowledge of Airlines security, restricted and prohibited articles and DGRs
- Knowledge of International HS codes
- Expertise in International Air routing with the ability to determine the shortest, quickest and most cost-effective air network routing solutions to cater to customers’ needs and urgency/schedule to deliver the goods.
- Knowledge of Air ticketing/excess baggage dimension and rates and packing system to suit if re-packed.
- Ability to use MS Excel, MS Word & other IT software to store/retrieve data and perform ad hoc reporting & documentation.

**Required Education, Experience & License**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience in the international logistics industry -- Freight Forwarding, Express Courier, or both
- Must have a valid driving license and own vehicle
- Must have a valid Passport for International travel

**Salary**:

- Commensurate with knowledge & experience with a salary higher than the last drawn

**Job Locations**: Chennai, India

**Work Schedule**: Day and Night shifts on a rotational basis providing 24x7 cover to handle the requirements of business/operations.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
