Role Overview:
As a Cost Estimator at Tecnimont, you will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, gathering essential data, and providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various engineering projects. Your role will be pivotal in determining the project feasibility, influencing business decisions, and ensuring the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Analysis:

- Analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to obtain technical insights and assess project complexities.
- Conduct thorough research to identify cost-effective materials, resources, and processes suitable for each project.

2. Cost Estimation:

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and sub-contracting costs.
- Utilize highly developed analytical skills to interpret data and anticipate potential cost variations.
- Conduct cost comparisons, considering alternative design options and construction methods, to provide cost-optimized recommendations.

3. Data Gathering and Analysis:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret historical cost data from similar completed projects to enhance accuracy and efficiency in estimating.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of materials, prices, subcontractor rates, and other relevant cost-related information.
- Evaluate project risks and incorporate risk management strategies to minimize potential cost overruns.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including estimators, engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to ensure accurate cost projections and seamless information flow.
- Communicate cost estimates, assumptions, and methodology clearly and effectively to both internal stakeholders and clients.

5. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with industry trends, market rates, and technological advancements to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement best practices, tools, and software to streamline and automate the estimation process.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance departmental productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Estimator in the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in utilizing cost estimation software and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
