Production Supervisor

**Job Title**: Production Supervisor - Machine Shop

**Industry**: Manufacturing and Fabrication

**Knowledge Required**:

- Conventional machinery operations (e.g., Lathe, Milling)
- Advanced machinery operations (CNC, VMC)
- Proficiency in using instruments such as Vernier, Bore Gauge, Micrometer, Slip Gauge
- Estimation and quotation skills
- Strong computer proficiency

**Responsibilities and Roles**:

- **Work Follow-up**: Monitor and ensure adherence to production schedules, resolving any delays or issues promptly.
- **Technical Clarification**: Provide technical guidance and clarification to the team as needed.
- **In-house Conventional Machinery Management**: Oversee operations and maintenance of conventional machinery like lathe and milling machines.
- **In-house Fabrication Management**: Coordinate fabrication activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
- **Team Management**: Lead and motivate the team to achieve production targets efficiently.
- **Outsourced Work Follow-up**: Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure outsourced work meets quality and timeline requirements.
- **New Vendor Identification**: Identify and evaluate potential new vendors for procurement of materials or outsourcing of work.
- **Customer Relationship**: Maintain good rapport with customers, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction.

**Reporting Structure**:

- Report directly to the Production Manager or Operations Manager.
- Provide regular updates on production progress, resource utilization, and any issues or concerns affecting operations.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and department heads to ensure smooth coordination across different sections of the manufacturing facility.
- Prepare periodic reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production efficiency, quality metrics, and adherence to schedules, for review by senior management.

**Production and Quality Documentation**:

- Ensure proper documentation of production processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety protocols.
- Maintain records of quality inspections, including measurements, test results, and any deviations from specifications.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) based on quality issues identified during production or inspection processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 or industry-specific certifications.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members on production and quality documentation procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in record-keeping.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
