Job Description: Credit Officer - Micro Finance

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess the creditworthiness and financial stability of applicants through comprehensive analysis of their financial statements, credit history, and collateral (if applicable).
- Conduct field visits and interviews to gather additional information and assess the business viability of applicants.
- Analyze repayment capacity, cash flow projections, and existing debt obligations of applicants.
- Evaluate the collateral provided (if applicable) and assess its value and suitability for securing the loan.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks through effective risk management strategies.
- Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of loans, ensuring timely repayments and adherence to loan terms.
- Maintain accurate records of loan transactions, repayment schedules, and client interactions.
- Regularly assess the financial performance and viability of borrowers to identify early warning signs and take necessary actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on loan disbursements, collections, and portfolio quality.
- Collaborate with the internal audit and risk management teams to ensure adherence to best practices and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Min. 2 years experience in microfinance or credit analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in the microfinance industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to financial inclusion.

**Salary**: Will be provided based on Experience/ Industry standard.
