Transport Clerk

**Loading and Unloading Supervision**:

- Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with warehouse and ground staff for efficient and secure cargo handling.
- **Vehicle Inspection**:

- Inspect transportation vehicles (trucks, ships, etc.) to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- **Route Supervision**:

- Monitor and ensure that vehicles follow designated routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery timelines.
- Make real-time adjustments to routes as needed.
- **Personnel Management**:

- Manage and coordinate the activities of on-site transportation personnel, including drivers and loaders.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- **Communication with Drivers**:

- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any necessary information.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by drivers during transportation.
- **Documentation Handling**:

- Oversee the accurate and timely completion of transportation-related documents, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Equipment Handling**:

- Supervise the use of equipment, such as forklifts or cranes, for loading and unloading operations.
- Ensure the proper training and certification of equipment operators.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries during transportation activities.
- Conduct safety training for on-field personnel.
- **Coordination with Other Departments**:

- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, warehouse, and procurement, to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate any challenges or issues that may impact transportation activities.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Develop and implement emergency response plans for on-field incidents or accidents.
- Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- **Inventory Tracking**:

- Implement systems to track and manage inventory during transportation.
- Ensure accurate recording of goods received and dispatched.
- **Customer Interaction**:

- Interact with customers or clients to address inquiries, provide updates on shipments, and resolve any issues.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach.
- **Problem Resolution**:

- Address and resolve any on-field issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or disruptions to transportation schedules.
- Implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Performance Monitoring**:

- Monitor on-field performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.

**Salary**: ₹13,199.02 - ₹22,571.70 per month
