**Your profile**
- 8+ years of experience within supply chain, procurement in Oil & Gas Industry. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering having excellent english communication skill.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP proficiency; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, V-Lookup, macros, charting/graphing)
- Profound experience managing global vendors; extreme customer-focus, both internal & external, and a collaborative team player Adaptable and seasoned cross functional communicator, with sharp critical thinking skills, Skilled Influencer, possessing strong diplomacy, teamwork, & interpersonal skills and savvy.
- Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
- Working time 12-9 pm Indian time
- Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organisational environment
- Good understanding of business strategy and plans to ensure alignment
- Familiarity with Operational Management and Quality Processes
- Good working knowledge of SAP and e-Procurement systems
- Have a creative and innovative mindset
- Practical experience in developing business improvements

**Your responsibilities**

Role anticipates involvement in operationally critical buying activities that includes processing RFQs, negotiating with globally defined suppliers for **Gas Turbine parts / systems required for aftermarket or services such as **Gear boxes, burners, couplings, castings, forgings, lot of variety with low volumes** so as to get the bought out items** delivered as per requirements.
- Strategic Sourcing - for your area you will be responsible for the execution of assigned commodity strategy(s) and responsible for the sourcing process and associated tasks. As a Senior Buyer you will also make recommendations to the Global Commodity Manager on sourcing decisions.
- Supplier Management -Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality
- Customer Interface - Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement
- Continuous Improvement - Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
- Negotiations -Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium to large Purchasing Volumes to obtain highest feasible savings
- Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
- Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings.
- Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). Establishes proper sourcing and Procurement processes and controls all Procurement resources and activities in the project.
